  6.   Venus by BlueFooted I love her work. :) Most of her pieces are fully rendered, but I have a thing for contour lines, even in my own work. Once I had a professor refuse to let me render because he liked my line quality so much. I think her line quality far supersedes mine…for now. :)

    Works by “Bluefooted”

    I’ve been following this artist for a while now. She’s one of the few reasons I still check out DeviantArt after some not-so-kosher events, the other reason is the photography…but I digress…

    I love her style. All her work has this beautiful, sometimes eerie fantasy element. Her work sometimes makes me think of the Medieval and Romantic era mythology and literature. She has a real storybook quality to her work. I love it.

    Oh, and get this…she does this for fun. I remember reading somewhere that she’s actually an evolutionary biologist. :]

  11.   Constant by Mike Reedy Going through some of his work again, this drawing reminds me of Dawn by Odd Nerdrum. Maybe it’s because of the repetition. It’s creepy in that sort of way that Nerdrum’s painting is.  By the way, interesting fact: Odd Nerdrum and I are somewhat connected. One of my closest professors did an apprenticeship under him. Ha! Everyone knows everyone…! Sort of… :]
